China Cabinet Christmas Decorating Ideas
How are you doing with your Christmas decorating? I'm late in decorating for Christmas! We don't have room to totally unpack everything so trying to find the box you need with the stuff you need is like playing a game of Tetris in the garage! We did put up our tree and a few other little things that I'll share with you soon. But today I wanted to show you guys my china cabinet that I decorated for Christmas. I really love it!

Like I said it was a challenge and I honestly wanted to just run to Hobby Lobby (which is now Down The Street from me!!) and just buy new stuff. But I stuck it out and rummaged around and found things that would work. I think it all came together really nicely and I'm very happy with it! Take a look…
The first thing I did was to put some Christmas wrapping paper on the back because I wanted some red without having to paint (it's yellow beadboard behind the paper). I just measured the back of the shelves and then measured & cut out what I needed in the paper. Then I applied a little dab of hot glue to the corners and presto – it looks like a new cabinet. I've also used double stick tape before and that works well. You could use scrapbook paper too. I wasn't too fussy about it since it just temporary.
On the top of the cabinet I have a mixed garland of red berries, white berries and a string of light. Then there's a aqua glitter house….
in a forest of bottle brush trees.
So my favorite thing here is the Atlas jar I filled with a mix of Shiny Brites and some other little Christmas balls. Love those colors!
I was looking for my Spode Christmas plates but couldn't find them – but I like these red transferware plates with the white rims against the red wrapping paper background! I used our everyday white china on the bottom shelf. I put one bottle brush tree in a red transferware egg cup.
All my interesting red candles are on an old silver serving tray. There are two that are textured like sweaters that I got at Ikea that I really like!
I'm really enjoying how the living room is starting to finally come together!
